The Ego

Ego is huge
Ego is scared
Ego is proud, cocky, arrogant
Ego has fear of abandonment
Ego has co-dependency issues
and some narcissistic traits too.
Ego wants to be loved.
Ego wants to be held.
Ego wants to know someone cares
Ego is tired
Ego wants to take a back seat
Ego wants a break from the driver’s chair
But Ego is scared
Ego is afraid of the unknown
Ego is afraid to open up
Ego is afraid of rejection
Ego is afraid of ridicule
Ego is afraid of being alone
Ego is afraid of the truth
Ego is afraid to let go of control
So Ego just keeps going
Keeps doing what it’s always been doing
Will Ego continue to live in fear?
Or will Ego embrace change and growth?
